Teacher Training?

Our teacher training will inspire you to take charge of your physical, mental, emotional and spiritual health by laying the practical and philosophical foundations of a lifelong yoga practice — one that you can share with others.

Yin Yoga

Please join Maryanne for this immersion into the science of yin yoga for teachers and dedicated practitioners.

This course explores the philosophy of yin yang theory, traditional chinese medicine as it relates to the organs and elements, mindfulness meditation and the role of a slow, soft practice.

Led by Idit Hefer Tamir, we’ll explore the real nuts and bolts of what it means to be a teacher, how to manage your time, energy and draw from all the tools in your tool box to be the very best teacher you can be. We’ll look deeply into personal practice, as well as self care, sustainable teaching, pranayama and mudras.

Advanced Yoga Teacher Training

This Advanced Teacher Training with Katie Manitsas and Idit Hefer-Tamir is for teachers who are looking to elevate their teaching to a higher level through ongoing yogic studies, mentorship and connection with other teachers and the trainers themselves.

Advanced Sequencing

According to Chakras

Led by Idit Hefer Tamir, in this module we explore sequencing, the foundation of all good yoga classes. We will reflect on creating sequencing, built around a theme (such as the chakras for example) and where you might be stuck in a sequencing ‘rut’ or teaching on auto-pilot. We will also look at advanced alignment.

Drawing on the Bhagavad Gita and the Yoga Sutras with Katie Rose. Learn how to effectively integrate spiritual teachings of yoga into your classes naturally, without being too ‘out-there’ or ‘over-sharing’ your personal story. Learn philosophy of yoga in relation to daily life, mantra and chanting with Nada yoga (music).

Completed your 200 Hour Training?

We've created an Intensive and adaptable Advanced Teacher Training program that contains an integrated pathway through 350 and 500 hours of training, as well as modules for special interest, mentorship and connection with other teachers.

Yoga & Ayurveda for the Individual

Led by Katie Rose, In this module we will explore some elements of ayurveda as a lens through which we can look at students as individuals, as well as self-practice and teaching of chanting, pranayama, meditation and sadhana (conscious spiritual practices) for one-to-one work.

“Compassion and curiosity is at the heart of every teaching and it has sparked a thirst for learning that I hope will continue my whole life.”

- Johanna Scott

“All of the teachers were amazing, inspirational and most importantly, experts in their field. I would recommend this training to anyone who is interested in teaching or even just delving further into their yoga practice. It will change your life.”

- Jordy Thurling

“The great people I met through this beautiful community of Yogis was a real gift. The studio is cute and comfortable, a very safe and supportive place for this 6 months journey that is a real life investment!“

- Julieta Casa

“I feel confident that I’ve been given the whole picture of yoga – not just the poses. For that I am so grateful to Idit and the whole crew at Sukha Mukha. I have gone from not wanting to enrol in the course due to my own story of not being ‘good’ at yoga, to being excited to teach and spread the word that yoga is so much more than that!”

- Emma Hayes
