Idit Hefer-Tamir
Idit Hefer -I am the founder and director of Sukha Mukha Yoga and of the teacher training.
I hold the space for the teacher trainees with much compassion and non-judgement and teach mainly the alignment and the sequencing modules, as I am very passionate about these.
As I wrote in the previous email, one of the things that are special about our training is our remarkable teacher training faculty.
Some of the teachers are:
Katie Rose (Manitsas), who was my teacher in my first Yoga teacher training course 14 years ago. She is the first advanced Jivamukti teacher in Australia, founder of Samadhi yoga, who later became Jivamukti Yoga Newtown. She since moved on to specialize in Birth, Prenatal, Postnatal and Ayurveda.
She is an author and a mum of 4, and is a remarkable woman with much knowledge and wisdom to share with the world..
You can read more about her on her website: https://www.bhaktirose.com.au/
Maryanne is one of the most inspiring teachers and yogic souls I have met on this path. Completely dedicated and devoted to yogic life, while maintaining lightness in heart and spirit, she has a strong following. She is a graduate of Sukha Mukha yoga teacher training, she has been teaching at Sukha Mukha for many years, and teaches the adjustments module and a few other bits, in which she is knowledgeable and passionate about.
A beautiful person and spirit to meet on this path.

Vibeke Murphy - Is our Anatomy and physiology teacher. She has a Bachelor of Science majoring in anatomy and physiology as well as a Masters in Chiropractics. She has over 15 years experience. She is also a graduate of Suklha Mukha Yoga teacher training. You can check her website on: http://www.bodybalancewellnesscentre.com.au/about-us-vibeke
Sunita Baste - Sunita has over 35 years of experience in the personal practice of yoga, and over the past 25 years, she has taught 1,000s of students worldwide (Australia, USA and India).
Sunita has more than 15,000 hours of recorded yoga teaching experience. She is renowned for her depth of understanding in the ancient language of yoga, Sanskrit, and has taught Sanskrit to yoga teachers (and teachers in training)—translating the more sophisticated aspects of yoga philosophy that have been displaced in most of the contemporary yoga practices of today. She teaches Sanskrit and gives it so much depth, color and life, based on her upbringing. She is a beautiful teacher.
Kamala Angel - Kamala is a Sivananda accredited Yoga Teacher who has been teaching in Katoomba (Blue Mountains, NSW) since 1989. She commenced her practice in Sydney in 1977 with respected Yoga Teacher Acharya Upendra Roy, and taught at Acharya’s Yoga Meditation Centre in 1979 under his guidance. It is a true privilege to study under her guidance, as she speaks from experience and is a living breathing example of Yoga in its deepest essence. It is rare we cross paths with such teachers these days.
Every year she is invited to teach in Montreal and in France in the Sivananda Ashrams.
Leanne Raab - Leanne has been teaching yoga and meditation for almost 20 years in New York City and Sydney.
She believes that yoga is an adaptive, transformative practice open to all. Leanne uses alignment to create stability, stability to create space, and space to create freedom. Her vinyasa teachings are guided by the breath and influenced by her love of Iyengar and Katonah yoga.
We often share the alignment module, as she is one of the best alignment teachers I have come across.
