What makes our teaching & practice sustainable?
Sustainable teaching is the development that meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of our own needs, for natural progress and growth".
Many teachers who embark on a new career of Yoga Teaching soon find out they "do not have the time" for self practice.
This inevitably leads to teaching on an " auto pilot" mode and to a sburn out of some sort. We teach what we might believe we are expected to teach, rather than out true and authentic voice.
As Yoga practitioners and teachers, it is important we keep growing our spirit, challenge not only our body but also our minds, and from this place of growth and expension, inspire our students to do the same.
"Sustainable development is the development that meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of futuregenerations to meet their own needs.” | Gro Harlem Brundtland
