Are you a yoga teacher or therapist wishing to deepen your service to your students?

Touch, when made with confidence and respect can be the most profound support you could offer.

This November join Joao and Maryanne to deepen your intuitive awareness of bodies, learn different types of touch, and gain confidence in ways to assist through perceiving each individual as just that - individual!

We believe there’s not just one way to assist an asana and in fact the possibilities are endless. We want you to leave this course trusting in your own skills and curiosity to guide your students into a deeper felt sense of any given moment.

Over two consecutive weekends we’ll look at principles of assisting, anatomical and energetic assists, methods of perceiving whether a body is in relationship to the supports around it and if not then how we can guide it to be.

After completing the two weekends you’ll be assisting Maryanne or Joao for 6 classes with mentoring included.

This will add 50hrs to your current teacher training and invaluable skills to support your current offerings.

Please ignore the generic days and times on MindBody. The dates are over two weekends as suggested above. Please contact us with any questions by emailing here

Your Teachers:

Maryanne Edwards:

Maryanne teaches a vinyasa style of yoga, combining energising flow sequences with held poses to strengthen and lengthen the body. Encouraging the connection of mind into body to expand awareness of all aspects of your life. Yoga offers us an opportunity to explore, reflect, learn, observe and embrace our world fully.

By developing a body awareness, through asana practice, we familiarise ourselves with our patterns, our reactions, our tendencies. Once we develop this skill we can guide ourselves toward living the life we have imagined.

Having been passionate about dance from a young age Vinyasa came naturally, in recent years Maryanne has found that including yin & mediation practises enriched her experience of yoga. Maryanne has studied with Idit Hefer Tamir, Sarah Powers, Jasmine Tarkeshi & Tara Judelle.

Joao Da Costa:

Joao’s Yogic journey started in 2008, where he found a new approach to living through his Asana practice and Kirtans. “Yoga came into my life as a way to prepare my body for other activities, from improving my surfing and climbing skills to increasing my flexibility and focus.”

Since then Joao has practiced a range of styles of Yoga: Hatha, Vinyasa, Ashtanga, Power Yoga, Iyengar, Yin and others. He studied with renowned Yoga teachers: Duncan Peak - Power Living, Simon Borg Olivier - Synergy Yoga, Michael Laxmivan - Krishna Village, Idit Hefer Tamir & Maryanne Edwards - Sukha Mukha, Simon Park - Liquid Flow. “All my teachers have taught me something special which I now have the honour to pass on to my students one class at a time.”

"Remember that every time we hands-on-assist it is an honor to place our hands on another human being. An adjustment can bring a student to life. Let our intention be to help a yogi find freedom."

- Sarah Ezrin
