"Sustainable development is the development that meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future
generations to meet their own needs.”  | Gro Harlem Brundtland

What makes our teaching and practice of yoga sustainable?

Sustainable teaching is then, the development that meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of our own needs, for natural progress and growth".

Many teachers who embark on a new career of Yoga Teaching soon find out they "do not have the time" for self practice.

This soon leads to teaching on an " auto pilot" mode and leads eventually to a burn out of some sort.

Certainly, the events of 2020 have highlighted that we cannot rely on external factors to keep our teaching and practice steady.

The landscape for yoga teachers has shifted and changed so much and is continuing to do so. In this powerful and supportive Advanced Teacher Training module we will explore how we can continue to thrive and survive as yoga teachers.

Course directors Idit Hefer-Tamir and Katie Rose have re-worked this module since the events of the global pandemic to support you during this time of change.

What will you learn?

Some of the elements we will look at in this modules are:

  • The different aspects of a Yoga practice as a life style

  • Realistic means to incorporate these aspects in your life

  • Routines versus rituals

  • Finding your authentic self

  • Ways to express this with the world and with your students?

  • What stops you from having the practice you want to have?

  • Journaling
