What makes our teaching and practice of yoga sustainable?
Certainly, the events of the last years have highlighted that we cannot rely on external factors to keep our teaching and practice steady. In this powerful and supportive Advanced Teacher Training module we will explore how we can continue to thrive and survive as yoga teachers. Filled with creativity, deeper inquiry into the light and the shadow, finding the voice that is waiting to be expressed through YOU. A most nourishing and nurturing module that will leave you rejuvenated, refreshed & ready to dive into the world with new eyes.
One of Tantra Yoga’s basic principles is seeing the sacred in the mundane. The objective of Tantric training is to transcend the barriers of duality; body and spirit, holy and unholy, dark and light, as a means to reveal our true Self. Through the tantric lens we aim to see all aspects of the natural world as manifestations of the Divine Shakti. Tantra celebrates the human body and teaches the acceptance of the world—of all events and experiences—viewing everything as sacred teachings of life to cultivate spiritual understanding and that no area of life should be rejected moving us towards Freedom, spontaneity, creativity, and well-being in this lifetime.
We are so excited to be offering another dive into the yogic teachings of Patanjali with our beloved Kamala Angel.
This time we will be exploring the concept of Liberation through Sacred Sounds.

Restorative Yoga is the yoga of deep, conscious relaxation. It is the Yoga of ‘Being’, rather than the Yoga of ‘Doing’. Using as many props as necessary, this type of practice allows your muscles, ligaments and organs to relax on a much deeper level and by doing so to restore Prana, energy, life force. As your body finds the shape of the posture and melts into place your nervous system switches to calmness and a deep inner healing mode. This type of practice is extremely important and valuable to all people who live in modern society. It’s complementary to a strong Yoga practice and is suitable for all levels and all ages.
This special and unique training deigned by Eve White and Katie Rose opens up two areas for investigation:
1) The Australian yoga teacher’s relationship to ‘Country’ and how we may all be more respectful of Indigenous Australia’s roots in our classes and offerings.
2) The ongoing conversation about cultural appropriation in yoga in regard to Indian culture and yoga’s ‘roots’ in Eastern tradition
Sequencing is the foundation of all good yoga classes. We will reflect on creating sequencing, built around a theme (such as the chakras for example) and where you might be stuck in a sequencing ‘rut’ or teaching on auto-pilot. We will also look at advanced alignment – how to teach difficult and advanced poses both safely and in relation to class themes.
An individually tailored approach to teaching private yoga classes with Katie Rose. In this module we will explore some elements of Ayurveda as a lens through which we can look at students as individuals, as well as self-practice and teaching of chanting (nada yoga), pranayama, meditation and sadhana (conscious spiritual practices) for one-to-one work.
